Hey, hey everybody. Welcome back to day two of the Business Bliss Challenge. I'm your host Jennifer Dawn and I'm thrilled to have you join me today as an entrepreneur for over 25 years and counting the author of two books and to date so far I've helped over 50,000 business owners. My passion is coaching you to transform you and your business from the inside out.

In this special seven part series, I'm hosting the Business Bliss Challenge. Now, if you're not already signed up, just hop on over to applestandbook .com and get signed up. My goal is to help you rekindle the love for your business in just seven days or who knows, maybe even a little bit less. Now, if you haven't already listened to day one, go back and listen to day one where I'm really laying the foundation for the challenge.

Today is day two and we're gonna be talking about ways to reduce your stress and overwhelm by simplifying your business. I once had a coach, a very, very expensive coach, and on our coaching call, he said to me, Jennifer, for your size business, the amount of complexity that you have in your business, I would expect to see in a business that is 10 times bigger than you.

And this was a big wake up call, because I'm like, what? Like, here I am going along, growing my business, having all these different people and processes and offerings and all this stuff thinking, woohoo, here I go. And he just like, cut that out and said, you know what? Your business is way too complicated. And you know what? He was right. And from that advice, I reduced my team.

Not significantly, I cut my team by about 10 or 15%, but those extra couple of people made a huge, huge difference because I realized they were actually creating a lot of the headache, a lot of the stress in my company. And when they were gone, it was like my stress level just was like gone and I'm like woo, and the clouds opened up and it was wonderful.

The other thing I did was I eliminated one of our coaching packages. It was not our most profitable. It was not our most popular offering. And so just got rid of it. And last but not least on some of our more popular offerings actually increased the prices up just an edge. We always charge fairly. We are not a coaching practice. As you've seen in the coaching industry, you may have experienced that there is a lot of people out there with these high ticket offers.

These ridiculous guarantees that they don't actually honor. There's a lot of inauthentic things unfortunately going on in the coaching world today. I have been burned by these, you may have been burned by these, and authentic genuine coaches, we get really, really pissed off when we see business owners being taken advantage of, and unfortunately it's happening a lot.

So if that's happened to you, I'm super, super sorry. I'm here to deliver value and tell you don't give up on coaching just because there's some people in the industry that are not very ethical or honorable. Now, back to simplifying our business, okay? So maybe there are some things in your business that have gotten overly complicated and that is what is actually contributing to your stress level. And so today, I want you to ask yourself,

Are there some parts of my business that maybe I need to change or reduce or get rid of? And when you take those steps to simplify, guess what's gonna happen? You're gonna free up both mental and emotional space. So quick little reflection, all right? And if you need to pause the recording, that's fine. I'm gonna pause briefly, but if you need more time to really think about these questions, just pause the recording for a moment and really, really think about it. Okay, big deep breath. In.

If you're not driving, you can close your eyes for a second. And I want you to ask yourself, what's one part of your business that you could simplify right now? Remember, this is your business and you can change it. Your team works for you. You don't work for them. And there are things in your business that you can guide and direct. And is there an area of your business that you could simplify?

What takes up the most mental and emotional space for you in your business? When you identify what that thing is and you own it, what is a step that you could take to change it? So instead of taking up your mental and emotional space, it actually feeds you in a positive way. And finally, is there an area of your business that has just become too complicated?

It just isn't working even though you've been at it for a while and maybe you just need to let it go. One more word of advice. Get some help. Here's the thing. When you reach out and you work with people who have been there and done it, it will shorten your curve. It will save you so much in time, money and wasted effort.

Now, as I mentioned before in the coaching industry right now, there are a lot of these high ticket programs out there and anybody who is charging you a small fortune to work with you for a very, very limited of time, buyer beware. Even if they have a quote guarantee, I'm telling you right now, those guarantees are written in such a way that they will never ever have to honor them, never.

Okay, so they're very, very good at sales. They're very, very good at knowing what your pain points are and getting you motivated to take action right away. But if you're looking at a program that's, you know, 10, 15, 20, $25 ,000 for a limited amount of time, two months, three months, please, please, please, buyer beware. I've been a business coach for a long time. I've been a business owner for a long time. And yes, while there are quick wins and quick things that we can do in your business to turn things around,

Generally as business owners, we need better, longer term, more permanent solutions. I can tell you that in our coaching, we never lock anybody into a long -term contract. We don't have one of those ridiculous guarantees. Ours is love it or leave it. If you love it, stay another month. If you don't leave, it's okay. We want our clients to stay with us and we truly do want our clients to stay with us for a long -term basis and many of our clients work with us for years, but they do it because they're getting value and they're being treated well and they're not being shamed in a lot of these group coaching programs being made to feel bad because you're not getting some magical result that one person got and thousands of people after that person are not getting. Okay, so you're not crazy. If you're not getting the result that you want to get from these coaching programs, trust yourself and trust your intuition and don't let that stop you from investing in good high quality longterm business coaching with authentic providers. And I assure you, I'm out there and there are other providers out there as well. Just do your research. Any legitimate coaching company, if you don't make a decision that day on the call or right away the next day when there's all that pressure, like those are all just really inauthentic sales practices. Any legit coaching company is like, yeah, think about it, make the decision. We want to be in this together to win with you. Okay? So - when you do invest in the right kind of coaching, it's almost a flip of can you really afford not to invest in it because you will save so much time, money, effort, all of that when you have a wonderful coach by your side. Okay, that's it you guys. So I really want you to just give some thought. Is there a part of your business that you could simplify? Is there something that's taking up the most mental emotional space you can make a plan to get out of it?

Or an area of your business that just becomes super complicated or not working that you need to step away from. And if you need some help, then reach out to whoever resonates with you. Of course, you can reach out to us, jenniferdawncoaching .com. You can click the schedule a call button. We don't do high pressure sales, but we would absolutely love to have a very real authentic conversation with you about how we can help you. And if we can, we will. And if not, we will.

Do our very best to point you in the direction of somebody who can. Okay, you guys, that's it. Join me tomorrow when we're gonna be on day three and we're gonna be talking about the money, money, money. Show me the money. Okay, for those of you who are in my age group, you know what I'm talking about. If you're younger, you may be like, what is she talking about? Go watch Jerry Maguire and you will know what I'm talking about when I say show me the money. So that's what we're gonna hit tomorrow on day three. If you enjoyed this episode.

Please share it with another business owner friend who might need this message today. And that's it. Until next time, get out there and have a happy productive day. Bye, y'all.
